Principal's Message

C’est avec grand plaisir que je vous souhaite la bienvenue à la famille de l’École Lac des Bois, un milieu accueillant, chaleureux, respectueux et fier de notre culture française.

It is with sincere pleasure that I welcome you to the École Lac des Bois family, which is a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment proud of our French culture. 

École Lac des Bois resides on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations in Prince George, British Columbia. Our school is a vibrant French Immersion school that offers students rich authentic language and learning opportunities from Kindergarten to Grade 7. We nurture and inspire our students to become confident and enthusiastic about learning. Courage, persistence, effort, and integrity are some of the values that guide our instruction. Our students have a second language learning experience that is exciting, immersive, and comprehensive. At École Lac des Bois our motto is « Un pour tous, tous pour un! » -- one for all, and all for one! 

Our dedicated and innovative staff actively supports and promotes the social-emotional and academic development of each of our students. Given that we are the only exclusively French Immersion school in Prince George, we have students from all over School District 57 who have chosen to be part of our learning community. Indeed, we benefit from the diverse cultural backgrounds that each of our families share with us. We have a wonderful PAC, parent community, and local partners who support us in enhancing the classroom learning experience of our students through various programs. Additionally, we have many significant cultural and language opportunities, including our yearly Carnaval celebration and our Québec exchange for our Grade 7 students, to name a few. 

I am so excited and proud to be part of such an amazing learning community! I look forward to sharing in our journey together.
